We compile the reaction from Villa fans on social media site Twitter to Roy Keane's departure from the club today.
Roy Keane has quit his job as Aston Villa assistant manager earlier this morning, but it is not a decision that the club's fans appear too disappointed with.
Keane was brought in by Paul Lambert to help the side's coaching staff over the summer, but he has failed to have the desired impact.
The Irishman was receiving praise from supporters and players alike in the early parts of the campaign but, as Villa's form has tailed off, he has come under pressure.
The former Manchester United has now decided that the role is not something he wants to continue with and he will solely concentrate on his commitments to the Republic of Ireland national team.
Usually losing an assistant-manager would be a concern for any side, but Villa fans appear to be pleased that Keane has departed - given the frustrations around the club at the moment.
The Claret and Blue have failed to win any of their last eight fixtures, dropping down the Premier League table at an alarming rate.
Many of the side's supporters are hoping that Paul Lambert will be replaced as a result of this slump in form, but Keane leaving seems to have been a reasonable alternative.
Lambert will now be on the hunt for a new man to be his second-in-command and he will be hoping that they have a more favourable time at Villa Park than Keane did during his brief stint.

It's yet another farcical day at VP but Keane isn't a loss. What's he done other than make headlines about his facial hair? #avfc— VillaPove (@VillaPove) November 28, 2014
With Keane going, it gives #avfc a chance to get a proper Villa man in behind the scenes to spark some life into the place. I am available.— Ola Egg (@Ola_Egg) November 28, 2014
So Keane has gone, something surely awry for him to go on a Friday with a big game around the corner. The club is in crisis #AVFC— James Leyfield (@JamesJourn) November 28, 2014
The one good thing about today's news is that when Lambert gets sacked it won't be Keane taking over #avfc— Tony McCabe (@mc_tone) November 28, 2014
Main reason I've supported Lambert this year is to see the Keane effect! It has been poor, so glad Keane's gone! Lambert next? #avfc— Andy (@AndyVilla80) November 28, 2014
I can understand Keane leaving, and to a certain extent I am glad. But why on earth would he leave the day before a match?! #avfc— Eleanor Jones (@EleanorJones7) November 28, 2014
All Keane did was sit there and scowl anyway, no big loss! Although we are a complete joke now #avfc— Ben Johnson (@benAVFCjohnson) November 28, 2014
