The Witcher comes to tabletop and mobile

The Witcher Adventure Game

The Witcher Adventure Game is now out to keep fans of the series gaming while CD projekt Red work to bring the new Witcher video game

The Witcher Devs, CD Projekt Red, have teamed up with Fantasy Flight Games to bring a new board game inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels in both physical and digital formats.

In a press release The Witcher Adventure Game’s producer RafaƂ Jaki notes the game is “an ideal entry for board game beginners, as well as a fun experience for people who know this genre and universe by heart.”

“The rules are simple but not simplistic, the artwork creates a phenomenal atmosphere that just drips out of the board, and the physical components are of the best of possible quality. We hope you will enjoy this game for months and years to come,” he added.

In The Witcher Adventure Game players assume the roles of four familiar characters from the books and video games: Geralt of Rivia, monster slayer; Dandelion, roguish bard; Triss Merigold, cunning sorceress; and Yarpen Zigrin, dwarven warrior.

Setting out on a journey through the world of The Witcher, players are tasked with completing quests, hunting monsters and earning gold, whilst interacting with “the characters they meet in a web of alliances and treachery.”

Below is a trailer for the physical board game.

A digital version is also now available via Google Play, Steam the Apple App store and which promises the same experience as the table top version, containing 280 cards and 30 mosters to battle with. A trailer for the Digital version is below.
