Manchester United have been linked with several exciting players over the past seven days.
Manchester United proved last summer that they still have enough financial muscle to pull off any big transfer deal.
The performances of the side have been slowly improving under Louis van Gaal as the club mulls over January additions, which could keep the side in the top four over the second half of the season.
Here are five of the best players linked with moves to Manchester United from the past week.
Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)
The latest reports suggest United are considering pulling out of a permanent move to sign Radamel Falcao in order to sign Cavani from PSG. They have been linked with him before although a permanent deal for Falcao would seemingly be easier.
Ron Vlaar (Aston Villa)
This isn’t a new name as far as Manchester United fans are concerned. Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their interest in the Dutchman, with some sources suggesting that United are still interested in doing a deal.
Lucas Silva (Cruzeiro)
Described as the ‘new Kaka’ Silva could be a superb signing for Manchester United. He’s reportedly being tracked by several top European clubs, but his agent has confirmed that United are one of the first sides to contact him over a move.
Zakaria Bakkali (PSV Eindhoven)
Bakkali has reportedly rejected further talks over a new contract with the Dutch club. The 18-year-old Belgian winger has been linked with plenty of top European clubs with United one of the sides thought to be interested in a deal.
Layvin Kurzawa (AS Monaco)
Although United signed three players who can all play at left-back during the summer, they have been linked with another in the form of Kurzawa. He’s admitted that United is the club of his dreams but whether they’ll make a move is doubtful considering their current left-back options.
