Michael Owen predicts Tottenham Hotspur v Everton Premier League clash

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League encounter between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen seems to suggest that Sunday’s Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton will be a close one.

Spurs will head into the match at White Hart Lane placed 10th in the league table with 17 points from 12 matches, while the Toffees are a place above them but only on goal difference.

“Spurs have a good recent record against Everton at the Lane and will be looking to build on their win at the KC Stadium last weekend,” former England international Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Both sides are in Europa League action on Thursday evening and this looks a very tough game to call.”

Perhaps Tottenham will have the edge because they are at home, but Everton do have a team that can compete with the very best.

Roberto Martinez’s side are undefeated in eight competitive matches and appear to have rediscovered their confidence.

Incidentally, Spurs have returned to winning ways and have emerged victorious in their last two competitive matches.

Sunday’s match could end in a draw…
