Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen believes that Arsenal will concede against West Bromwich Albion.
Arsene Wenger’s side will head into the match on the back of a morale-boosting 2-0 home victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, but Owen expects West Brom to expose their weakness once again.
“The Gunners’ defeat to Manchester United last weekend means they have their lowest points tally after twelve games in over 30 years and their only wins in the PL this campaign have come against sides currently 14th or lower; West Brom are currently 13th in the table,” the ex-England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Arsenal may have kept a clean sheet at home to Borussia Dortmund midweek but they remain vulnerable and I expect to see goals at the Hawthorns.”
Many will agree with Owen’s prediction. After all, the Dortmund squad that faced Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium was a depleted one and had many of the first-team regulars injured.
However, the North London outfit should still be considered as the favourites for Saturday's match. Although West Brom are at home and will be determined to win, Arsenal have the better players and more quality.
