Christian Eriksen has underlined the importance of a win for Tottenham Hotspur against Everton this weekend.
The North London club will host the Toffees at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday.
Spurs have been disappointing at home, but they have won their last two competitive matches and will head into the match against Everton with confidence.
Eriksen, who was the best player on the pitch last weekend when Tottenham defeated 10-man Hull City 2-1 at the KC Stadium, has insisted that the players are determined to give the home fans something to cheer about on Sunday.
“Everyone wants to win at home,” Tottenham’s official website quotes the Denmark as saying. “We know if we want to go higher in the Premier League we have to win our home games.
“It’s a big game for us and we want to get back on track at home. Everton finished really well last season and they’ve been fighting back this season. We are as well.
“It’s close in the table. One or two wins and you are right up there where you want to be. We’ve won at Hull and now we’ll look to get a couple more.”
Tottenham will head into the game placed 10th in the Premier League with 17 points from 12 matches. Everton are a place above them but only on goal difference.
Sunday’s match is too close to call, and there is a distinct possibility that it could end in a draw.
