Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has been singing the praises of Adryan.
The Brazilian attacking midfielder joined the Whites from Flamengo on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window and has shown his quality from time to time.
The 20-year-old took some time to gain full fitness for the Championship, but the youngster now seems to be a key player in Redfearn’s team.
Although Adryan has yet to score in six Championship appearances, he has created 10 chances, has a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 40%.
Redfearn insists that the Brazilian is in top shape and has underlined his quality.
Redfearn says Adryan is still "getting fitter" & thinks he has done well so far: "His attitude's good. He's a driven boy." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) November 27, 2014
One Leeds player who has come under scrutiny in recent days is Marco Silvestri. The Italian goalkeeper was being hailed as one of the best in the Championship, but his howler against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park last weekend has raised concerns.
The 23-year-old almost made a similar mistake against Cardiff City, but Redfearn has full faith in the former Chievo star.
Redfearn on Marco Silvestri: "The number of points where he's won us games this season far outweighs the ones where he's cost us." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) November 27, 2014
Redfearn believes Silvestri's confidence remains intact: "He's trained well this week, he looks good. He's a top class young keeper." #lufc— Leeds United FC (@LUFC) November 27, 2014
Leeds are currently 16th in the Championship table with 20 points from 18 matches and will take on Derby County at Elland Road on Saturday.
