Jamie Carragher has joked that AS Monaco would be the perfect club for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.
“If there was ever a club that was tailor-made for him, it's Monaco,” said former Liverpool midfielder Souness with a smile. “The lifestyle, crowds of 3000, no one being critical of his effort is perfect fit for him.”
“You should send Balotelli,” quipped Carragher.
Berbatov played for three different English clubs and earned a reputation of being too laid-back in his footballing style.
The 33-year-old former Bulgaria international featured for Tottenham Hotspur for two years before joining Manchester United. In 2012 Berbatov moved to Fulham and switched to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in January 2014.
Meanwhile, Balotelli returned to the Premier League in the summer transfer window, swapping AC Milan for Liverpool in a deal reported to be worth £16 million.
The former Manchester City striker, who is currently injured, has been in disappointing form for the Reds and has yet to score in the league.
