We rate Arsenal's players during their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund last night.
Emiliano Martínez - 7
The youngster was under pressure in this match, as he filled in for the injured Wojciech Szczesny, but he performed admirably. The Argentine made a series of good saves and proved that he is a capable understudy, despite his lack of experience.
Calum Chambers - 6
A better display from the Arsenal full-back, who has struggled of late. His distribution still needs work, but his energy is an obvious threat.
Per Mertesacker - 6
The pace of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang occasionally threatened him, but the Arsenal defender largely coped well.
Nacho Monreal - 6
Has not looked comfortable at centre-back during his time playing there, but this was a much improved performance. Looked in control throughout.
Kieran Gibbs - 6
Solid, if unspectacular. The left-back offers great pace and is a consistently good performer for the London side.
Mikel Arteta - 7
A controlling performance from the experienced midfielder. His injury, which forced him off in the second-half, will be a concern.
Aaron Ramsey - 6
Energetic as always, but he still hasn't reached the heights of last season.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 8
A brilliant display from the England international, who was a constant threat. Very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, when his long-range shot cannoned off the crossbar, but he still had enough eye-catching moments for that not to matter. Is starting to flourish into a fine player.
Alexis Sanchez - 8
The Chilean continues to be the main man for the Gunners. Sanchez is already a fans' favourite at the Emirates and if he can keep playing to this standard he is sure to go down in folklore there. Scored Arsenal's second with a sensational finish.
Santi Cazorla - 8
It hasn't been the diminutive Spaniard's season so far, but this was him at his best. Happy to use both feet, the attacking midfielder was in superb form last night and showed all his creativity.
Yaya Sanogo - 7
His early goal seemed to give him the confidence to put in one of his best performance for the club. Proved his manager's selection choice correct.
