Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been singing the praises of teammate Alexis Sanchez.
While former Barcelona star Sanchez has scored eight goals and has created 30 chances in 11 Premier League appearances, he has found the target three times and has given seven key passes in five matches in Europe’s premier club competition.
Ramsey, who was Arsenal’s best player last season but is struggling for consistency at the moment, is impressed with the £35 million signing and highlights one key area which often goes unnoticed in the Chilean’s game.
“He works so hard for the team and when he gets an opportunity to score, he scores,” the Wales international is quoted as saying by Arsenal’s official website. “It took him a couple of games to get into it, but he has not stopped scoring since.
“The thing which has impressed me most about him is his workrate off the ball. With the South American players, it is sort of bred into them to work hard.
“He is no different to any of the other players like (Luis) Suarez or (Sergio) Aguero, so we are grateful to have him in our team.”
Sanchez’s work-rate off the ball is indeed impressive, and so is his energy and willingness to run. The former Udinese star has frightening pace which he is making the most of in the Premier League.
