Adlene Guedioura has completed a loan move from Crystal Palace to Watford today, much to the delight of Hornets supporters.
The Algerian midfielder is proven quality at Championship level and he should improve their options in the midfield department considerably.
Guedioura is a powerful figure, whose energy is makes him a valuable asset, and he should be brought straight into the Watford team upon arriving at Vicarage Road.
The Palace man has been brought in as Lewis McGugan's replacement, after the attacking midfielder left to join Sheffield Wednesday on a temporary move last week.
To expect him to start playing at the top of his game straight after joining may be a little ambitious, though.
Guedioura is likely to be short of match-fitness after playing just six times this season for his parent club, with Neil Warnock generally overlooking him in favour of the other options in his squad.
He joins a Watford side who have been in good form since the start of the season, but have struggled more recently for results.
Slavisa Jokanovic's men have lost their last three games in all competitions and have slipped out of the playoff spaces, but they will be looking to get back into promotion contention soon.
The side are only three points away from the top two and the addition of Guedioura is what Watford supporters hope will be enough to boost them up the league.
Here is the best reaction from Watford fans on social media site Twitter.
Guedioura wasn't playing as much as he or Gourcuff would have liked. This move should get him back into the Algerian squad.— Maher Mezahi (@MezahiMaher) November 26, 2014
Don't know why we signed Guedioura on loan. All that's matters is if he plays well, it will be worthwhile #watfordfc— Alex :) (@Thaynee1997) November 26, 2014
Guedioura is a quality loan signing for #watfordfc. Although it does worry me that maybe Adbi isn't as close to full fitness as we thought— Ian Bignall (@rusty_bakayoko) November 26, 2014
Guedioura. Better than McGugan so I'm not complaining. Doubt he'll play with a fully fit squad but Abdi's getting a bit injury prone...— Tom Lee (@Tom_Lee_95) November 26, 2014
Just seen #WatfordFC have just signed Adlene Guedioura from Palace, very decent signing if he can re-discover his form he had at Forest— Ben Aiton (@benaiton23) November 26, 2014
Gotta good feeling about this Guedioura, looked decent every time I've watched him. #watfordfc— Harry Cresswell (@HKCresswell) November 26, 2014
