Nicky Ajose has sealed a loan switch to Crewe Alexandra.
Leeds outcast Nicky Ajose has been photographed with his new kit after sealing his loan move to Crewe Alexandra.
The winger was one of 15 summer signing at Elland Road, and had always seemed a peculiar fit, often unconvincing at Peterborough in League One last season.
Ajose's luck at making the step up ran out as soon as Dave Hockaday was sacked at the end of August, and he was not even named on the bench since.
The former Manchester United trainee may feel aggrieved at never getting a true chance to show what he can do at Leeds, but he has a chance to illustrate what they are missing now by playing regular football on loan.
He is Crewe's second loan addition of the day, following teenage striker Uche Ikpeazu who joins from Watford.
Crewe sit rooted of League One with 15 points from 18 games, but are just three points off climbing out of the relegation one. Ajose's former club Peterborough are just outside the play-offs in eighth. The two sides are not scheduled to play each other during his loan spell.
