A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United winger Nani is said to be happy at loan club Sporting Lisbon despite ongoing reports that he could return to Old Trafford in January.

The Portuguese international was on the score-sheet yet again on Tuesday, this time in a Champions League match against Maribor which his side won 3-1.

Speaking to A Bola after the match, in comments later published by Sport Witness, Sporting manager Marco Silva said, “I am satisfied with the performance of the players. Nani did well. We did a great goal and we can see he is very happy to represent Sporting.”

In other news, reports linking Dani Alves with a possible move to United have resurfaced, after the Manchester Evening News picked up on claims from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The latter publication claims the Brazilian right-back will not be at Barcelona next season, despite recent suggestions he could pen a new deal.

As a result, United have seen their name cast into the headlines yet again, with Alves sure to be a fine addition if he did make the move to Manchester.
