19-year-old SC Heerenveen midfielder Daley Sinkgraven is guaranteed to join a “big club” next summer, according to club captain Marten de Roon.
After a breakthrough 2013-14 campaign, the Netherlands Under-21 international has made another impressive start to this season, with his performances said to have attracted the attention of Manchester United.
With Manger Louis van Gaal reported to be preparing a bid in the winter transfer window in order to beat the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Ajax to his signature, De Roon believes it is inevitable that his promising teammate will head for pastures new in the near future.
"He is so nimble, he almost dances on the field," De Roon told Voetbal Primeur.
"He can do anything with his left foot. Daley is a player, for whom people come to the stadium. I hope he stays during the winter, but in the summer he will surely move to a big club."
However, despite reported interest from both United and Liverpool, Sinkgraven commented last month that he might prefer a move to Spain over England when the time comes to leave the Eredivisie, noting his admiration for the likes of Barcelona superstar Andres Iniesta.
"It would be very nice if I can ever play at one of the big clubs in Spain,” he told De Telegraaf.
"I often watch Andres Iniesta and other big stars that appear on my TV, and observe how they play. I hope to also be that great.”
Heerenveen are bound to be inundated with offers for Sinkgraven once the winter market opens, but it appears that United and Liverpool might have some work on their hands to convince him to move across the Channel.
