Luis Suarez got off the mark for Barcelona last night, helping them to a comfortable victory over APOEL Nicosia.
It was the first goal he had scored for the La Liga side since his £80 million summer move from Liverpool, having spent the first two months of the season serving a FIFA ban.
Suarez is the reigning PFA Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner for his superb season for the Reds in 2013/14, in which he led Liverpool to the verge of the Premier League title, only slipping up late on.
It was only a matter of time before the Uruguayan scored, and it will be truly fascinating to see him continue to settle into an attack boasting Lionel Messi and Neymar. Barcelona went onto win 4-0 with Messi bagging a hat-trick.
His former side Liverpool are not enjoying the same sort of luck, struggling to replace him despite the huge fee.
Not a single one of the signings has panned out so far, especially striker Mario Balotelli, who is injured and will not face Ludogorets on Wednesday night.
Liverpool have amassed only 14 points this season in the league, and have looked a shadow of the side they were with Suarez in the team.
Here is a look at how fans of the Reds reacted on Twitter to his display for Barcelona:

I really hope Suarez goes back to #LFC when he's like 31. Joy of a player to watch. Won't happen though.— Brett Curtis (@bcurtis92) November 25, 2014

Suarez goal demonstrates what #LFC need. He made it himself with a little nutmeg. currently no trickery in front of goal for LFC— LFC for Life (@mrwedwards) November 25, 2014
