A select round-up of the latest news relating to Chelsea…
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been speaking about a recent conversation he had with his international teammate Sergio Ramos.
The play-maker’s commitment to Spain had been questioned after the former pulled out of their recent Euro 2016 qualifying match due to injury. But in quotes published by the Daly Star, Chelsea’s £26million revealed he had spoken to the Real Madrid defender.
“I felt that I was the one being alluded to and I already told Sergio what I thought,” Fabregas said.
“It p**ses you off when your commitment is questioned. Of course it p**ses you off.”
But it appears the issue has now been resolved and Fabregas is likely to want to prove just how much he still cares about his national team the next time he pulls on the shirt.
In other news, Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is reportedly ready to wait patiently for the right move as his future at Stamford Bridge comes into question.
The London Evening Standard reports that Cech is the subject of interest from Turkish side Besiktas but he is prepared to wait until the end of the season and move to a club where he knows he will be first choice.
