Manchester City are still alive in the Champions League, thanks to the heroics of the sensational Sergio Aguero.
The Argentina international striker was on fire on Tuesday, as he scored all three goals in the Premier League outfit’s 3-2 comeback victory over 10-man Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
It was Aguero who opened the scoring at the Etihad Stadium, slotting home from the penalty spot which he himself has earned, as Mehdi Benatia was sent off.
However, Bayern came back strongly and went 2-1 up by half time, Xabi Alonso and Robert Lewandowski with the goals.
Aguero, though, showed his class as he restored parity on 85 minutes and then completed his hat-trick in injury time.
It was a truly majestic performance from Aguero, who has single-handedly maintained City’s chances of progress to the last 16 of the Champions League.
A number of current and former players was amazed with Aguero’s display, including Leeds United striker Billy Sharp, Tottenham Hotspur-owned midfielder Alex Pritchard and Queens Park Rangers star Joey Barton.
