Fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment that Chelsea won't be following up their reported interest in Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus.
Speaking at the media conference on the eve of Chelsea's attempt to secure a place in the Champions League knockout stage, Jose Mourinho told reporters that he was not interested in signing Marco Reus. The news quickly spread on social networking sites as Chelsea fans, who were largely keen on the Blues making a move for the player, voiced their feelings.

Gutted. No Reus to Chelsea. I feel like a kid that had his Christmas toys stomped on. #CFC— Césc Drogs&RocknRoll (@Binky_Ferrari) November 24, 2014
The 25-year-old is thought to be a top target for many clubs in European football, including the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, so the news that Chelsea won't be bidding for his services will be welcomed by competitors.
However, after another injury, this time ruling the player out until 2015, clubs may be wary of Reus's medical history when making offers for the talented midfielder's services.
This season, Reus has played just 11 games for Dortmund, scoring six goals in the process. Although the injuries are currently only minor and not leaving lasting damage, the player's availability the past two seasons has been a cause for concern.
Nevertheless, given his ability, he is unlikely to be struggling for suitors and Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are also reportedly interested, so even if he doesn't end up at Chelsea, he could still end up in the Premier League.
