Former Manchester United attacker Denis Law lauded Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez in an interview with Chilean newspaper La Tercera.
The 74-year-old agreed to an interview with the national news outlet while visiting Santiago, giving the Chilean reporters the chance to ask his opinion on all things relating to their nation in the Premier League.
Inevitably, once past the obligatory questions regarding his own career, the former United man was asked what he thought about the impact made by Alexis Sanchez on the Premier League and how he rates him as a player.
''Alexis is one of the best players in the world,'' Law commented.
''He's a wonderful striker, with many qualities and when played makes an impressive contribution, certainly.
''Sanchez is the type of player that can succeed in any team in the world.''
The 25-year-old has certainly shone in the Arsenal side, with 11 goals in 17 games in all competitions, but remains unable to propel the Gunners into the top four.
Arsenal, after the defeat to Manchester United, now sit in eight position after making their worst start to a season in 32 years. A statistic which has prompted more Arsenal fans to jump on the 'Arsene Wenger out' bandwagon following their recent stagnation.
Nevertheless, Sanchez has still managed to catch the eye and to be labelled as one of the best attackers in the world by a person of Law's standing is no small feat.
