With the January transfer window just around the corner, both Arsenal and Southampton have been linked with making deals in the New Year.
The Gunners have struggled to find any sort of consistency, and a top four finish is in danger, whilst Southampton's amazing start to the season sees them in second place.
Both now have aspirations of Champions League qualification, but will need additions to make that happen - and have been linked with the same player.
Palermo's Paulo Dybala is a talented, skillful forward who has earned comparisons to his Argentine compatriot Sergio Aguero for his livewire style and ability to play out wide, behind or off the striker.
His displays in Serie A this season have attracted interest from both Arsenal and Southampton, and he proved why they're monitoring his progress with the opening goal in Palermo's game against Genoa on Monday night.
Picking the ball up down the right hand side, Dybala ran at the defence before cutting inside and whipping an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
That now gives him five goals and two assists this season in just 12 games, and it would be little surprise to see the 21-year-old make the move to England in January.
