An unexpected turnaround in fortunes for Rafik Djebbour is complete.
A far cry from scoring his only goal for Nottingham Forest at Yeovil Town, Djebbour shared the pitch with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez last night.
Forest signed him last January and were paying him £30,000 per week, but the striker only started three games for the club.
With both parties keen on cutting ties in the summer, Forest and Djebbour negotiated an exit, eventually signing with APOEL Nicosia.
The Cypriot side hosted Barcelona last night, losing 4-0 to a Messi hat-trick and Suarez's first goal for the club.
Djebbour came off the bench for the final 17 minutes, but did not manage a shot on goal and touched the ball only seven times, with Nicosia already well beaten - and Barcelona ending the match with 75 per cent of possession.
Even just featuring against them however, is a positive career turnaround, having essentially being told by Championship side Forest in the summer that he was no longer wanted.
The 30-year-old has one goal for Nicosia since signing in the summer.
