Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney names his ideal five-a-side team

Wayne Rooney names names Angel di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Robin van Persie and Juan Mata in his five-a-side Manchester United team.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has named his ideal five-a-side team, and it does not make for happy reading for two of the club’s summer signings.

Daley Blind and Ander Herrera moved to the Red Devils from Ajax and Athletic Bilbao respectively in the summer transfer window, and has been hugely important to the team.

However, the midfield duo seem to have failed to do enough to find their names on the five-a-side list of team captain Rooney.

“Do you have to have a goalkeeper? If not, I’ll go for Angel [Di Maria], [Radamel] Falcao, Robin [van Persie] and [Juan] Mata,” the England international forward told United’s official website when asked about his ideal five-a-side team.

It seems that Rooney has gone for attacking players, and (perhaps) it is understandable. He himself is a forward and he would want to have that attacking mindset when playing five-a-side football.
