Co-op appears vital in this Resident Evil: Revelations 2 gameplay

Resident Evil Revelations 2 co-op gameplay screen 1

Some co-op gameplay footage has been revealed for Capcom's upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations 2 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the next upcoming game in the Resident Evil series, and is set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6. The game will have Claire Redfield as its main protagonist, with the daughter of Barry Burton, Moira, as a playable character too.

Some new gameplay footage has been revealed which shows off the game's emphasis on co-op play.

The first video below shows players how to revive a partner that's been downed by an enemy. Both players can help eachother reach places they wouldn't be able to if alone too, and finally a bit of health recovery is shown.

The next video switches between the two characters to give an example of how players can work together in order to take down enemies. One player can blind their foe with a torch, whilst the other player comes in for the takedown.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is due for an early 2015 release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
