EA Sports tracking data has shown that Burnley winger George Boyd has run the most in a single Premier League match this season.
The 29-year-old former Peterborough United and Hull City winger ran 8.29 miles against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, according to data supplied to The Daily Mail.
Scotland international Boyd’s worth ethic was a key reason behind the 2-1 away win for the Clarets, who are currently second from bottom in the league table with 10 points from 12 matches.
Second on the list is former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who ran 8.19 miles for Swansea City against Manchester United at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season.
The Iceland international also occupies the third place on the list for running 8.1 miles against Burnley a week later, while Boyd’s 8.07 miles against his former club Hull sees him take hold of the fourth position as well.
Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin's 8.04 miles against Newcastle United makes him fifth in the standings, while Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen and Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini are sixth and seventh respectively in the list.
The list produced by EA shows no players from Chelsea, Liverpool or Manchester United in the top 10.
