Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways on Sunday with a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Hull City away from home in the Premier League.
The North London had to come from a goal down to get the better of the Tigers, who finished the contest at the KC Stadium with a man down.
Steve Bruce’s Hull took the lead after just eight minutes when Jake Livermore fired home from 25 yards, and had a number of chances to double the advantage in the first half.
However, the controversial sending-off of Gaston Ramirez saw Tottenham gain a numeral advantage, and they made the most of it.
Harry Kane equalised just past the hour mark with a simple finish from close range (click here to read more), and Christian Eriksen found the target with a superb effort in the final minutes of the contest.
It was not the most comfortable of wins for Tottenham, but it was enough to see Mauricio Pochettino’s side move up to 10th in the Premier League with 17 points from 12 points, just two points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
The Tottenham players were understandably overjoyed with the win and took to social networking site Twiter to revel in the success.
