Lukas Podolski posted an image of himself on Instagram at Hyde Park with the hashtag #BreakFromTheBench.
Lukas Podolski clearly had his lack of playing time on the mind as he posted an image to Instagram with the hashtag #BreakFromTheBench.
The Arsenal attacker, who is reportedly disputing his current situation at the Emirates, posted an image of himself on a family day out at Hyde Park with several hashtags but finished on a damning one for Arsenal fans who could sense all is still not right in the Arsenal camp.
Last week, the German international told the Guardian that he intended to speak to Wenger in order to clear the air after Joachim Low advised him to seek regular playing time at club level.
''I have to speak to Wenger because at the moment is not good for me because I have to play, so we will see what happens,'' The 29-year-old said. ''I am happy at Arsenal and happy in London but the only thing is I don't play. I don't get the chance to play. I play always 10 to 15 minutes. I cannot be happy about this.
''I never say that I am unhappy with the club or with the players or with the city but I want to play. I think when I am ready and 100% I could play in the first XI. But it is Arsene Wenger's decision. He picks the first XI and he picks the tactics.''
Following his return from the international break it was the same old story for Podolski who remained an unused sub as Manchester United came away from North London victorious.
Wenger's decision to snub Podolski seems to have flared the situation up further, given the evidence on Instagram, and now the Frenchman faces a tough call to make for the game against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
A start for Podolski could go a long way to rebuilding the relationship between the two. However, another place on the bench, given the recent frustrations aired by Podolski, could leave him eyeing the exit.
