Chelsea taken on FC Schalke in the Champions League on Tuesday knowing a victory will not only ensure qualification to the knock-out stages but also win what appeared on paper to be a tough group.
Chelsea are currently top of group G with eight points from their first four matches, but Schalke are second in the group and in fine form heading into the match.
With former Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo now in charge at the German side it makes for an interesting sub-plot but Mourinho has already acknowledged that it is all about what happens on the pitch rather than off it.
A win for the Bundesliga side will throw the group wide open and a win for Sporting Lisbon against Maribor will mean Chelsea will head into the final group game with their future in the competition far from certain.
That is why Mourinho is likely to pick a strong side on Tuesday and with only Nathan Ake definitely unavailable at this stage he is able to do that if he wishes.
Below is the team we predict will take to the field:
Predicted Chelsea line-up: Courtois, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Luis, Fabregas, Matic, Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Costa
