Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that there will not be too many goals in today’s Premier League clash between Aston Villa and Southampton.
Looking ahead to the match at Villa Park, the ex-England international wrote on Betvictor: “Villa have failed to score in six of their last seven PL games and things are unlikely to get any easier against a Southampton side who have only conceded five times in 11 PL games so far this season. I don’t expect to see too many goals on Monday.”
Villa have struggled for goals in the Premier League so far this season, finding the target just five times in 11 matches.
Meanwhile, Southampton have the best defensive record in the English top flight, having conceded only five goals in 11 fixtures.
The Saints will be favourites to win today even though they are away.
