Mario Balotelli’s agent says the Liverpool striker will not be returning to Italy and claims his relationship with the club is “perfect”.
Balotelli, 24, has scored just twice in 14 games since a £16 million summer move from AC Milan, failing to impress when leading the line in Daniel Sturridge’s absence, before missing Sunday’s dismal 3-1 league defeat at Crystal Palace with a hamstring problem.
Recent reports have suggested that the polarising front man could be heading back to his homeland as soon as this winter, with both former club Inter Milan and Rafa Benitez’s Napoli mentioned as potential suitors, but agent Mino Raiola insists his client his going nowhere.
"A return to Inter is impossible. Not for Mancini, but for other reasons of which it isn't worth talking about," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Even Naples. Mario does not return in Italy."
Balotelli had netted times 30 times in 54 appearances during his 18 months with Milan, prior to being shipped out for a cut-price fee, and his representative believes he will soon rediscover that form once back fit and in the Liverpool line-up.
"He lacks the goals, doesn't run well but it is a time that must pass,” Raiola added.
“He now has this injury and we hope to have it resolved as soon as possible.
"The relationship with the team? It is perfect, the English journalists must not be part of his life."
