Daniel Craig could be facing a Bond villain from days gone by in the next 007 movie
Ahead of the start of production on the new James Bond film next month a new rumour has surfaced.
We already know that James Bond 24 will see Daniel Craig returning for the fourth time as 007 along with Skyfall director Sam Mendes. Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw will also be reprising their roles in the new film
Recently announced to be joining the cast is Christoph Waltz whose identity in the movie is the focus of a new rumour. If you’d rather not hear who Waltz might be we’d suggest you turn away now in case of spoilers.
According to the Daily Mail Waltz is to play Ernst Stavro Blofeld in whatever the new Bond film ends up being called, with the paper stating that "the new Blofeld will be just as sinister as earlier incarnations but will be more sophisticated and less 'campy'".
Should the rumour prove true then Waltz will become the third actor to play the cat-stroking super-villain after Donald Pleasance and Charles Gray. It’s the assertion of the Mail that Eon Productions will reveal Waltz’s role to be something else at first however as a diversion tactic.
The next James Bond film is currently scheduled to hit UK cinemas in October 2015. We’ll keep you updated on events as they evolve.
