Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar got it wrong about Arsenal yesterday, not once but twice.
The Gunners took on Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League and were backed by many to claim all three points from the encounter.
Lord Sugar was among those who predicted a win for Arsenal, going on to add that England international striker Danny Welbeck would score against his former club United.
I see an Arsenal win today against Man U. Welbeck to score against his old team @piersmorgan— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) November 22, 2014
However, as things panned out, it was United won the contest 2-1, with Welbeck struggling yet again.
The Red Devils took the lead on 56 minutes when Kieran Gibbs scored an own goal, and Wayne Rooney doubled the advantage with a wonderful chip in the 85th minute.
Although Olivier Giroud scored an injury-time goal, it was too little too late for Arsenal, but Lord Sugar predicted a comeback from Arsene Wenger’s side... which, of course, did not happen.
Arsenal have the fighting spirit to come back . I am sure they will score soon. Spurs watch and learn— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) November 22, 2014
That's it 0-2 Rooney . I was wrong thought Arsenal would have won this— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) November 22, 2014
