Stephen Warnock gives view on where Leeds attackers must improve

Leeds United defender says the club's attackers need to improve their decision making.

Leeds United's backline failed to hold their 1-0 lead against Blackburn, as Neil Redfearn's side slipped to a second defeat in four games.

Yet despite the goalkeeping error and dodgy penalty decision, could their attack have offered a little more than Souleymane Doukara's solitary strike?

Left-back Stephen Warnock believes they need to improve in their decisiveness, and called for patience.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "Our decision making in the final third is not quite there at the moment.

"We're trying somehting a little more difficult when we can maybe go another pass and give it a bit more, then there's the flip side of it where we are passing it too much and we need to get shots off. It's finding tht balance.

"The lads are enjoying what's going on at the club at the moment, the training we are doing, the work rate, so hopefully it'll turn quickly and we'll get the results."

Leeds had exactly the same amount of possession as they did in their last game against Blackpool, but did not make better use of it.

They had 56 more final third passes against Blackpool, played three more through balls, and had eight more shots. Warnock's assertion that a little more composure and extra passing in the final third was needed, appears a well observed one.
