PHOTOS: Ings joy; Hughes woe - The best images from Stoke 1-2 Burnley

Burnley beat Stoke City this weekend and here is the story of the match in pictures...

Burnley player Danny Ings stole the show against Stoke City on Saturday, scoring two goals in two minutes for Sean Dyche’s men.

Ings’ quick-fire double ensured Burnley won their first away game of the season and climbed off the bottom of the Premier League table; and while there is still a very long way to go yesterday’s visitors to the Britannia Stadium are showing positive signs heading into the festive period.

Jonathan Walters halved the deficit just after the half-hour mark but it proved to be a mere consolation as Burnley held out to take a much needed three points.

Mark Hughes will be disappointed that Stoke returned after the international break to a defeat and there are questions to be asked as to how a much heralded defence was breeched twice in such quick succession. But Burnley must be congratulated, and Ings in particular.
