Almost 7000 Leeds United fans travelled to Blackburn for Saturday’s Championship game at Ewood Park.
Leeds United are not doing so well at the moment.
The West Yorkshire outfit are currently 16th in the Championship table with 20 points from 18 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
The latest defeat for Leeds came on Saturday when they went down 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Despite taking the lead through Souleymane Doukara in the first half, the Whites failed to win as they conceded two goals in the second period.
As much as one can be - and probably should be - critical of the Leeds players, the club’s fans have to be shown respect. On Saturday, there were no fewer than 6,839 Whites supporters at Ewood Park.
Leeds regularly get over 20,000 fans at Elland Road, and taking almost 7000 fans to an away game in the Championship is truly something to be proud of.
One of the biggest clubs in England who have not played in the Premier League since 2004, Leeds continue to disappoint on the pitch. But with the fans maintaining faith, perhaps a miracle could happen this season…
