New cinematics herald Final Fantasy Type-0’s Western arrival

The Japanese PlayStation Portable game from 2011 is finally coming to Xbox One and PS4 in the West this coming March.

After a long time in waiting, Final Fantasy Type-0 is getting released in North America and Europe, and to rekindle some interest Square Enix have unleashed a new cinematic trailer.

As well as appearing on the web Squre Enix plan for this one to also show in “American cinemas nationwide in front of the season’s biggest blockbuster films!” You can check out the trailer in all its filmic splendeur below.

Final Fantasy Type-0 has undergone a long and protracted journey to come to Western gamers. Originally announced as Final Fantasy Agito XIII, the game forms part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series - along with Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII (now redubbed Final Fantasy XV). Type-0 first came to life in Japan in 2011 on PlayStation Portable and then was rumoured to be coming to the rest of the world as a Vita game. Square Enix has instead announced since that an HD remaster of the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 17th of March in the US and 20th March in Europe.
