Forest strolled to success with Britt Assombalonga, Matty Fryatt and Henri Lansbury all hitting the back of the net in the eye-catching success.
It is their second win in as many games and has brought the optimism back to the City Ground, after a poor run of form previously.
“We’ve taken our performance in training into today," manager Stuart Pearce said to the club's official site after the match. "They put everything we worked on into practice and delivered a fantastic result. They should be very proud of that performance.
“The players have had their tails up over the last two weeks and there’s a real confidence around the training ground.”
It was a victory which has lifted the side up to eighth position in the table, just two points away from a play-off spot.
Pearce was not the only member of the Forest squad to be delighted with their success either, with a number of their players coming out on social media site Twitter to explain their happiness about the result.
That is what happens when we all stick together. Delighted for the manager, players and fans. #nffc— @FAWAZ_ALHASAWI (@fawaz_alhasawi1) November 22, 2014
