West Ham's Mark Noble is looking for inspiration... from Jimmy Bullard

The Hammers midfielder is not giving up on his England dream just yet.

West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble is taking inspiration from Jimmy Bullard...

No, you read that sentence right - and it isn't anything to do with the Jungle.

Indeed, the West Ham man is inspired by Bullard when it comes to earning his first ever England cap. Bullard made his maiden England appearance at the age of 29.

Noble, 27, is thus far from giving up on his England dream just yet.

“[QPR and ex-Hammers striker] Bobby Zamora is also a member there, so he’s good company, and I can’t get enough of my fishing," Noble told the Daily Mirror.

“A 39lb carp takes some landing, but it’s exciting when the alarm screams off and you jump out of your skin, hoping it’s a big one. As it turned out, that was my biggest catch yet – it’s probably the nearest thrill you get to scoring or winning a big game.

“If I’ve gone fishing when the next international break comes round, I’ll keep working hard and you never know. It may happen for me one day.

“I’ve been watching Jimmy Bullard in the jungle on TV – he won his first England cap at 29, so I’m not giving up yet.”
