Sami Khedira was playfully scolded by the former Manchester United star during Real Madrid training.
It takes some confidence to try and nutmeg the reigning best player in the world, but that is certainly what Arsenal linked midfielder Sami Khedira did during a Real Madrid training session.
With Cristiano Ronaldo in the unlikely role of piggy in the middle, Khedira sought to thread the ball between the Portuguese star's legs, much to his teammate's surprise, as he waved a wagging finger in the German international's face.
It looks like the Ballon d'Or holders reaction is at least a little playful, though he will be happy to have stopped the World Cup winning midfielder from completing his pass.
Khedira has only gathered snippets of games this season, and is yet to complete 90 minutes in La Liga or the Champions League for Real despite the departure of last year's regular defensive midfielder Xabi Alonso.
The German continues to be linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, with Arsenal once again linked with the player ahead of the January transfer window, while German giants Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as hold an interest.
The former Stuttgart star's contract expires at the end of this season, meaning the 27-year-old can agree a summer transfer abroad come January.
There is plenty of talk whether Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is likely to move a little earlier to ensure that Khedira both comes to the Emirates, and also arrives as soon as possible.
