This summer Southampton found themselves victim of a raid. Many of the top teams in England decided to steal away much of their top talent. Liverpool were of course the biggest pirates of them all, while Tottenham Hotspur helped themselves to their manager.
Arsenal signed Calum Chambers for a fee in the region of £16 million while Manchester United spent around £30 million on Luke Shaw.
The pair, who are now fully fledged England internationals, will face each other this evening as Arsenal take on Manchester United in the Premier League.
With Chambers playing right-back more often than not in recent games and Shaw expected to start at left-back, they may even be in direct competition today - which will certainly be a big feature in the game.
But throughout it all the pair are unlikely to forget that they were once team-mates before Arsenal and Manchester United came calling.
