Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed Hull City to get the better of Tottenham Hotspur.
The Tigers will host the North London outfit at the KC Stadium in the Premier League this afternoon.
On paper, Steven Bruce’s Hull side are the weaker team, but both sides have been struggling for points and wins so far this season.
Tottenham will be determined to pick up a victory in Yorkshire and resurrect their chances of a top-four finish in the league, but Owen believes that it will be Hull who will win today.
“Neither side could be described as being in form with Hull without a goal in three and Spurs having their worst start to the season in six years,” the former Newcastle United star wrote on Betvictor, com.
“Tottenham are unbeaten in their last five against the Tigers but the hosts will be desperate to put behind what was a poor performance against Burnley last time. They could represent the value.”
Tottenham are currently 12th in the Premier League table with 14 points from 11 matches, while Hull are three points and three places behind them.
