Michael Owen expects goals in Arsenal v Manchester United Premier League clash

Michael Owen believes that there will be goals in tonight’s Premier League encounter between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

Michael Owen believes that today’s Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United will have goals.

Both the Gunners and the Red Devils are attacking teams and have top-quality players, leading former United striker Owen to predict the two sides to find the target at the Emirates Stadium.

“The excellent Danny Welbeck scored in his last couple of appearances in this fixture for Manchester United and I wonder if he will come back to haunt his old club?” the ex-Liverpool star wrote on Betvictor.com.

“This is a game I think could go either way but with Alexis Sanchez (12 goals in 14 games for Arsenal), Wayne Rooney (10 career goals against the Gunners in the PL) and Robin van Persie (scored in five of the last six games between the sides) also in excellent goalscoring form I think there will be goals at the Emirates.”

Owen does not seem to predict the final result, but one has to agree with him on his opinion that the spectators at the Emirates will see goals.

Neither Arsenal nor United have looked defensively strong so far this season, and given that they have some of the best attackers in the Premier League, one can expect a hugely entertaining game tonight.

Arsenal will probably be the favourites as it is a home match for them, but one should not be surprised if Louis van Gaal’s United pick up all three points at the Emirates tonight.
