Jose Mourinho is a fan of Anderson Talisca, but will not be signing him.
It has been a great season for Anderson Talisca. The forward signed for Benfica from Brazilian side Bahia in July, for a fee in the region of €4 million.
The 20-year-old has since gone on to have an an impressive start to life in the Portuguese top-flight.
That does not come as a surprise to Jose Mourinho. The Chelsea manager recently told press in his homeland that English clubs were queueing up to sign the player this summer - but could not get a Work Permit for the youngster.
"I think Benfica hired well. They say Talisca is unknown, but he is only so unknown because he's only not playing in England because he doesn't have a work permit. If he had one, he would be here!
"There were many English teams, great teams and important, that wanted him. Moreover, there were those who wanted to sign him, even though he could not play for now..."
Chelsea are now said to be considering a move for the player - who has been dubbed both the 'Brazilian Yaya' and the 'Next Rivaldo'.
However the Chelsea boss has given a very short response to questions about a potential move for the player. During his pre-match press conference for the game with West Brom this weekend Mourinho drew laughter from the gathered media with his response of simply:
When asked whether he would be bringing in the Brazilian talent.
With Arsenal and Liverpool lurking, and Manchester United said to be considering a move as well, that one word answer will come as good news to much of the Premier League.
