Former Leeds United boss has a new job... with Swindon Supermarine.
The rapid rise of Dave Hockaday has come full circle after the former Leeds manager landed an advisory role at a non-league side.
The man nicknamed 'The Hock' was the surprise choice as manager at Elland Road earlier this year, new owner Massimo Cellino's first appointment at the club.
Despite talking big and even claiming he wanted to lead the club into the Champions League, his previous role was at non-league Forest Green, and he was fired before the season reached September.
He has now landed his first role since Leeds, back in non-league football, in an 'advisory role' to the existing management at Swindon Supermarine.
The club are thrilled to have him, with director Jez Webb telling the club website: "To have someone of his stature show an interest in our wonderful club is most humbling.
"With Leeds United being his latest club and Forest Green Rovers before that we all know what Dave's capabilities as a coach are."
Swindon Supermarine sit 16th in their division and have a home capacity of 3,000. Their next match is away to Merthr Town.
