The highly-anticipated HTC One (M9) has been imagined in this concept video.
It's not unfair to say that the brilliant HTC One (M8) was the best looking smartphone that has been released this year. The sleek all-aluminium body wasn't close to being matched by any other smartphone manufacturer in the industry.
Look and design is usually something that is dominated by Apple's iPhone, but this year they failed to live up to their own very high standards with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. While they wowed everyone with the curved, seamless glass display, they disappointed with the protruding rear camera lens and the ugly antenna lines.
You wouldn't expect HTC to lower their standards with their next flagship smartphone the M9, and if it looks anything like it does in this concept video then it may well be the best looking phone of 2015 too.
Graphic designed Jermaine Smit is well-known for his smartphone concepts and has certainly not disappointed with his vision of how the HTC One (M9) may look.
Smit's concept retains the single aluminium piece design that made the M8 so desirable, but makes it slimmer and sleeker by removing the HTC branding and making the antenna breaks much thinner.
The front has also been reimagined with once single piece of glass that appears to be absorbed into the One's aluminium casing. Smit has also redesigned the front-facing BoomSound speakers and placed them at the top and bottom of the device; it's fair to say they look pretty incredible!
We shouldn't get too far ahed of ourselves though, Smit is not affiliated with HTC One and unfortunately is not part of their design team, so the end product could and probably will look a whole lot different.
It has been rumoured that the HTC One (M9) will be announced at next year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. To see the latest specification rumours check out our report.
