Candy Crush Saga's sister game gets a helping hand from pop-star Nicole Scherzinger to launch in the UK.

To help celebrate the launch of King Digital's new Candy Crush Soda Saga game, the developers called on pop-star Nicole Scherzinger to turn the River Thames into a purple soda stream.

Nicole is said to be a fan of Candy Crush herself, and she was on hand to illuminate the giant soda fountain display at London's Tower Bridge. Take a look at the photo of the display below, it includes a giant glowing Soda Bottle, Striped Jelly Bean, the new Cyan Candy, and the Colour Bomb. And the pièce de résistance - a huge 7 metre tall Candy Bear propped up 20 metres high.

Co-founder and chief creative officer at King, Sebastian Knutsson, reflected on the display: "What a great way to celebrate the launch of Candy Crush Soda Saga." He continued, "it brings to life the colour, the excitement and the fun that we aim to achieve in our games. We think it’s a fitting celebration of the next instalment in the Candy Crush franchise and hope our players are as entertained by it as they are by our games.”

Display illuminator, Nicole, said, "the launch event for Candy Crush Soda Saga was a really magical experience. I’m a fan of the original Candy Crush game, so it was a real privilege to be invited to take part in this fantastic launch of the sister title, Candy Crush Soda Saga and have the chance to transform an iconic London landmark like Tower Bridge into an amazing Soda filled spectacle."

The new Candy Crush Soda Saga is available to download for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can also play it on Facebook too.
