Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has underlined the threat that Blackburn Rovers duo Jordan Rhodes and Rudy Gestede will pose.
The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday and will hope to resume their Championship campaign with a win.
However, it will not be easy as Gary Bowyer’s side have been much better than Leeds so far this season and are just a point off the promotion places.
Blackburn also have two of the better strikers in the Championship in Rhodes and Gestede, who will be a major threat to Whites.
Redfearn himself admits that, but he has also revealed that he and his defenders have been working on how to keep the duo in check.
“Gestede and Rhodes are probably as good as you’re going to get at this level,” The Yorkshire Post quotes him as saying. “They’ve got different qualities and they offer a different threat. We’ve worked on that through the week with all the defenders.”
Gestede has been in truly brilliant form for Rovers this campaign and has scored no fewer than 10 goals, as many as Nottingham Forest’s Britt Assombalonga and Derby County’s Chris Martin.
Scotland international striker Rhodes has not been that prolific, but he has scored five goals and has created 15 chances.
Leeds have been rejuvenated under Reddearn and have some good defenders, but their work will be cut out against Blackburn.
