QPR midfielder Sandro says he would welcome Jermain Defoe signing at QPR.
QPR midfielder Sandro says he would be happy to see the club sign Jermain Defoe.
Defoe is reported to be interested in a move back to England from Toronto FC, and R's boss Harry Redknapp is continuously linked with linking up with the striker.
Sandro played alongside him at Spurs, where Defoe went onto become the club's all-time leading goalscorer in European competition.
He told SkySports: "We're playing good at this moment. If one player like him comes to help us it's always good.
"Jermain Defoe is a great striker. If he comes, he's going to help a lot."
Despite his apparent desire to leave MLS, Defoe has a strong record.
He has scored 11 goals in 16 starts, indicating he is as sharp as ever, which is encouraging should QPR decide to pursue a deal.
The form of Charlie Austin lessens their need to sign a striker, which will likely come down to finances and Defoe being willing to take a wage decrease.
