Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has suffered a fresh injury, the club have confirmed.
The striker will miss this weekend's clash with Arsenal, with it previously speculated he was edging closer to a return.
The loanee has missed the last three games for the club, and has netted just once since signing on deadline day.
Falcao also stayed behind over the international break in efforts to get fit, and this is a real blow for the striker.
The injury, crucially, is related to his calf rather than the knee problem which saw him miss the World Cup.
He told ManUtd.com: "I am getting better, I feel well and I hope to come back to the pitch soon.
"It is disappointing that I can’t play but I have to be calm and recover because that is important to help the team when I return to the games."
