Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce hopes to have two key players back in time for the festive run of fixtures.

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce hopes to have Jack Hobbs and Andy Reid back within a month.

Both players are out injured, but the manager says the duo are on schedule for a timely return.

He told the club's website: "Jack Hobbs is doing really well, he’s very pleased with his ankle at this moment in time.

“It will run its course into Christmas time. It’s a bone-healing situation so we can’t take shortcuts on that one.

“It’s the same with Reidy, it’ll be around Christmas. But the good thing is they’ve had no setbacks. We’re delighted with both of those.”

Both Reid and Hobbs rank inside Nottingham Forest's top six performing players according to Opta powered website whoscored.com, making a combined 10 appearances this season.

Had either been scheduled to be out longer, it could have perhaps persuaded Forest to take a look into the loan market, but Stuart Pearce appears confident his squad have what it takes to see out the next month until they return.
