Suarez hopes for Gerrard stay

Luis Suarez may have left Liverpool in the summer, but that hasn't stopped him from commenting on situations at Anfield - and today, he admitted that he hopes his former team mate Steven Gerrard will end his career with the Reds amid speculation that he could leave in 2015.

"It would be perfect for Steven and for the great Liverpool fans if he ended his career there," Suarez said. "It isn’t a relationship that should ever break up. I know Steven and he would never want to leave Liverpool. That club is a part of him and the only way he would ever leave Liverpool is if they didn’t want him."

Moreno sets targets

Summer signing Alberto Moreno bagged a superb goal against Tottenham in August, and having started his career as a winger with Sevilla, he says he wants to score more goals for Liverpool.

"When I was a kid I played more as a winger or a wide attacking midfielder - not as a full-back. But I always like to score goals and above all, provide assists, which is what an attacking full-back has to do," Moreno told Liverpool's official website.

"As we stand, I'm on one goal and an assist in 12 games, so I think I'm aiming at getting more than five goals and five assists,"

Right back on his way?

Liverpool have recently been linked with a move to sign Benfica's Uruguayan right back Maxi Pereira, with questions over the long term future of Glen Johnson at Anfield.

Now, according to reports in Portugal, Benfica are preparing to identify potential right back targets ahead of the January transfer window - which could leave him open to a move to Merseyside, following in the footsteps of his international team mate Suarez.
